We always knew the Kia cee’d was a trend setter. In fact its revolutionary seven year warranty has really raised the bar among European car companies. So we were overjoyed when it won this special honour, designed to recognise exceptional achievement.
This year’s Autocar awards saw the Kia cee’d scoop yet another major honour - ‘Idea of the year’ was awarded for the cee’d’s industry-leading seven year warranty.
When the Kia cee’d won ‘best hatchback’ in the What Diesel Car? Magazine awards, it beat even the VW Golf to the top spot. The magazine gave this glowing review:
"an athletic step forward from Kia sends a clear message to Ford, Vauxhall and Renault: game, set and match - Kia is the premier cee'd. It drives like a dream, is perfectly balanced in bends and is implacably well-mannered over bumps"
Out of fifty cars tested, the Kia cee’d ranked top for its environmentally friendly credentials. A collaboration between Practical Caravan, What Car? and the Camping and Caravanning Club, the Towcar Awards 2007 stated that the cee’d ‘best blends towing ability with keen economy and low emissions.’
We’re pleased the judges were so impressed with this ‘well built and well finished’ model.
