The new Kia cee'd scooped a major honour at this years' Autocar awards. The cee'd with an industry-leading seven year, 100,000-mile manufacturer warranty grabbed the attention of the Autocar judges to scoop 'Idea of the Year'.
What Diesel Car? magazine voted the Kia cee'd 'Best Hatchback' in its annual awards, beating the VW Golf into runner-up place. The magazine stated: "an athletic step forward from Kia sends a clear message to Ford, Vauxhall and Renault: game, set and match - Kia is the premier cee'd. It drives like a dream, is perfectly balanced in bends and is implacably well-mannered over bumps".
The Towcar Awards 2007 are a collaboration between Practical Caravan, What Car? and the Camping and Caravanning Club. They tested fifty cars and placed the cee'd at the top of the tree for being the most environmentally friendly package, saying that the cee'd was the car that 'best blends towing ability with keen economy and low emissions'. The cee'd 'impressed judges' adding that it was 'well built and well finished.'
