Kia to reveal sports coupe concept car at Frankfurt Show
Kia Motors is to unveil a dramatic 2+2 sports coupe concept - the work of Chief Design Officer Peter Schreyer - at the IAA in Frankfurt on Tuesday 11 September.
Revealing a first 'preview image' of the car, Schreyer said: "Kia has given me the opportunity to shape its whole brand design and character. Seldom does a designer have such a clean sheet to work with.
"We started this exciting journey with the Kia ex_cee'd cabrio concept at the Geneva Show back in March, and at Frankfurt I'm sure Kia will surprise the entire automotive world when people see our new sports coupe concept in the metal."
The new concept - its name remains secret for now - has an imposing road presence and was designed by Schreyer at Kia's Frankfurt Design studio and was built in Europe.

Kia Motors have revealed the first image of it's latest concept car that debuted at the Paris Motor Show. The strikingly styled concept, named pro_cee'd is based on the forthcoming three-door sporty hatch version of the all-new Kia cee'd. The brief for the pro_cee'd was to create a teaser for the all new cee'd sports hatch which will become the third model in the cee'd line up.
The pro_cee'd has kept the family resemblance to cee'd with it's dynamic and muscular appearance. Key attributes which the pro_cee'd models will have in common include the lowered roof line and shallower side windows edged with chrome trim. The pro_cee'd interior is designed to accommodate four people in sporty bucket-style seats and is trimmed to give a strong feeling of performance.
Kia sold an all time high of 1,140,734 units worldwide in 2006.
