Built in Europe
The new Kia cee'd was conceived at our European Design Centre in Germany. It's manufactured at our European state-of-the-art factory where our highly qualified technicians guarantee the best build quality. Around 75 per cent of parts used at our manufacturing plant are sourced from European suppliers. So there's plenty of home-grown talent built in to the new cee'd. Quality we feel, should be a given. All diesel engines are fitted with 6-speed manual transmission as standard, petrol models feature a 5-speed manual gearbox for extra smooth changes. If you prefer to let the cee'd do the work, choose automatic transmission as an option.

For fuel economy and performance in equal measures, choose between the new 1.6 litre models ranging from 89 to 113 bhp.
Petrol
If you prefer petrol opt for a choice of 1.4 litre (89 bhp), 1.6 litre (124 bhp) engines. They feature CVVT (Continuous Variable Valve Timing) technology and electronic injection to boost performance.

Intelligent Stop and Go (ISG)
It's easy to be green with our new Intelligent Stop and Go technology (ISG). When you stop at a traffic light, the engine is turned off and switched on automatically when you resume the journey.
This saves up to 15 per cent fuel, whilst reducing noise and exhaust emissions. Low resistance tires also increases efficiency. Lots of clever ideas, or simply 'EcoDynamics'.

The cee'd is packed with active driving technology to help you avoid danger in the first place. A rigid bodyshell and six airbags as standard offer added protection. No wonder the cee'd hatchback scored the maximum five stars at the Euro NCAP safety test.

How to steer clear of danger.The new Kia cee'd is equipped with a whole range of active safety features for improved road handling and stability. They include ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and ESC (Electronic Stability Control). ESC optional on cee'd 1 and 2 EcoDynamics. Standard fit of cee'd 3.
Passive
Protection you can count on.The Kia cee'd has a rigid bodyshell engineered for extra stiffness - more than two thirds are made of high tensile-strength steel to provide outstanding crash protection. Carefully positioned crumple zones absorb any energy during a collision, dampening impact. Passengers are protected by six airbags and 3-point seatbelts as standard. To help prevent whiplash neck and head injuries during a rear impact, the front seats also feature active headrests.
Anti-Theft
Confidence-boosting security. Every Kia is well protected against theft. Standard security measures include an advanced electronic immobiliser. Also, with speed sensing auto-locking the doors are locked when you pull away and, in the unlikely event of an accident, unlock automatically
