Highway Assistants
Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control
This technology helps to maintain a safe speed according to road conditions while driving on an expressway or highway. It automatically reduces the speed before entering a safety zone, curved section, or entry/exit of an expressway or highway. And it resumes acceleration to pre-set levels thereafter.
HDA2 available on 3 & 4 grades only.
Highway Driving Assist 2.0
HDA2 maintains the speed set by the driver or the speed limit of the highway detected by the navigation system. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration in your lane while keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. HDA2 also includes the Lane Change Assist, which automatically changes lane when you press the indicator, enhancing your driving experience even further.
Lane Following Assist
LFA is designed to help detect lane markings and/or vehicles on the road, and assists the steering to help keep your Sorento between lanes.
Anti-Collision Assistants
Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist
Take the worry out of your blind spots. With BCA, you will receive alerts whenever there are vehicles approaching to overtake you or in your blind spot. If the system detects that there is any risk of collision, it will smartly assist with braking your car to avoid it and lead you back into your lane.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0
FCA2 ⁷ gives you added reassurance and helps you to avoid any potential collisions with pedestrians, cyclists or other cars on the road. If you are not applying the brakes hard enough to avoid a collision, your Sorento will do it automatically.
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
Back out of a parking space or driveway simply and easily. With the RCTA system, you will get an alert that warns if cars or pedestrians are passing behind your vehicle. If there’s any risk of a collision, the system will automatically brake.
Multi-Collision Brake
The MCB offers you and your passengers added protection and reassurance in the event of a crash. After the initial crash, it helps to prevent any unpredictable movements of your vehicle, thereby helping to mitigate the danger of any secondary crashes.
Safe Exit Assist
The SEA system sounds an alarm if a passenger tries to disembark while a car is approaching from the back in an adjacent lane.

Information and control service for your Kia from your smartphone; the Services are available free of charge for a period of seven years commencing on the day the vehicle is sold to the first owner of the vehicle, i.e. the point in time the initial purchase agreement becomes effective, and may be subject to change during that period. (2) Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™
The Kia Sorento is compatible with Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. Android Auto™ is designed to work with Android phones running 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher. Apple CarPlay™ is available for iPhone 5 or newer models. Both systems feature voice control and allow the driver to keep their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road ahead at all times. (8) 7 Year Warranty
Kia warranty covers a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. Deviations according to the valid guarantee conditions, e.g. for battery, paint and equipment, subject to local terms and conditions. For full Kia warranty terms and exclusions click here.
Kia high voltage lithium ion battery-units in electric vehicles (EV), hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV) are built to have a long life. These batteries are covered by the Kia warranty for a period of 7 years from initial registration or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first (8 years/100,000 miles for EV models registered from 01/01/2024). For low voltage batteries (48V and 12V) in mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEV), the Kia warranty covers a period of 2 years from initial registration regardless of mileage. For EVs and PHEVs only, Kia guarantees a 70% capacity of the battery. Capacity reduction for the battery in HEV and MHEV is not covered by the warranty. EV/PHEV Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery
Cars registered up to 31/12/2023: The Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery warranty covers a minimum capacity for a period is 84 months or 100,000 miles from the date of first registration, whichever comes first. Cars registered from 01/01/2024: The Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery warranty covers a minimum capacity for a period is 96 months (84 months for PHEV) or 100,000 miles from the date of first registration, whichever comes first.
(9) OTA Updates
For new vehicles sold from May 2021, Kia offers, per vehicle, two free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software using the so-called “over-the-air” method (“OTA Updates”). Once the two free-of-charge OTA Updates have been consumed, you will be able to get free-of-charge updates of the maps in the vehicle’s navigation system and of the Head Unit software only (i) by accessing the following web page https://update.kia.com/EU/E1/Main or (ii) at a dealership.
(10) Music Stream
The Music Streaming service is part of the regular Kia Connect Live Services but has a limited free period for one (1) month starting from the activation date in the Kia Connect Store.
