Kia Owners Warranty

We’re confident that you’ll enjoy life with your Kia. You can be sure that all Kia cars have been designed and engineered to the highest safety and performance standards – giving you confidence and peace of mind.

We subject all our vehicles to stringent quality checks before they leave the factory and all authorised Kia dealers are required to carry out a comprehensive Pre-Delivery Inspection. This means that your new Kia has been thoroughly inspected and tested – before it’s delivered to you. 

7 Year Warranty Across the Range

All new Kia vehicles purchased on or after 1st January 2010 now come with a 7 year warranty. For further details please click here.

When we launched the Kia cee'd and the European-produced Sportage, we completely revolutionised the warranty. These models are guaranteed for an incredible seven years.

This warranty includes:

  • for the first 3 years, you can drive as many miles as you want and you will still have our full manufacturer’s warranty
  • if you stay under 100,000 miles, our full manufacturer’s warranty is valid for an amazing 7 years – which allows you an average of over 14,000 miles a year
  • the anti-perforation warranty :
          Picanto, Rio, Carens, Magentis and Sedona - 7-years/100,000 miles*
          Sportage and cee'd (Models up to 2009) - 10-years / unlimited mileage*
          Sorento MY 2010, Venga, Soul and cee'd MY 2010 onwards - 12-year / Unlimited mileage* and thereafter all new models.
  • the free 1 year KIAssist roadside assistance covers UK and mainland Europe  

For vehicles purchased before 1st January 2010 the following warranty applies:

5-Year unlimited mileage warranty on the new Carens and Soul models

The Carens and Soul come with:

  • 5 year unlimited mileage warranty
  • 6 year anti-perforation warranty *
  • 1 year KIAssist roadside assistance covering UK and mainland Europe

All other Kia vehicles

All other Kia vehicles are covered by the following warranties:

  • 3 year unlimited mileage warranty
  • 6 year anti-perforation warranty*
  • 1 year KIAssist roadside assistance covering UK and mainland Europe

* To maintain the anti-perforation warranty an annual bodywork inspection must be carried out by a Kia dealer or Authorised Repairer. The annual bodywork inspection required may be charged for.

The warranty conditions detailed above only apply to vehicles officially sold and registered in the UK via Kia Motors. 

Extended warranty

Would you like to relax, knowing that your car is covered even longer? When you buy your Kia, you’ll have the option of extending the warranty by either 12 or 24 months. The extended warranty covers both mechanical and electrical failures, and you’ll be guaranteed exceptional quality, because only Kia Genuine Parts will be used.

Please note: Extended Warranties are only available for vehicles with a standard 3 year manufacturer’s warranty. Vehicles with 5 or 7 year warranty are excluded. The extended warranty must be purchased prior to the expiry of the manufacturer's original warranty and before the car reaches 100,000 miles.
